Recommendations were implemented and the very receptive Onslow Memorial Hospital team applauded Juan for his initiative and named a section in the ER after him. The new process has proven effective with a decrease in the Left Without Being Seen (LWBS) rate which is down to 1.84%.

Meet Juan Class, an exceptional ER travel nurse practitioner at Onslow Memorial Hospital who turned ordinary into extraordinary. Juan’s dedication to collaboration and medical excellence led to process improvements that enhanced patient care but also streamlined workflow for fellow ER clinicians. In recognition of Juan’s innovative thinking, his team named a section after him and held a ribbon cutting in his honor. Kudos to Juan for going above and beyond to promote healthy clinicians, healthy patients and healthy communities!
