EXTRAordinary Care

On one of her first shifts as a provider in triage, Allissa Stallman, PA-C, exhibited exceptional clinical judgment and professionalism. Despite a waiting room filled with 30 patients and significant delays, Allissa identified the urgency of an elderly woman’s symptoms and acted swiftly. She initiated a stat head CT directly from the waiting room and followed up with calls to ensure every step of the process was handled with precision.

When the CT scan revealed multiple intracranial hemorrhages, Allissa ensured the patient’s immediate transfer to the trauma bay for lifesaving care. Beyond her clinical expertise, she also took the time to provide compassionate updates to the patient’s family, offering reassurance and clarity during a challenging situation.

Although new to her role, Allissa’s decisive actions and compassionate approach exemplified the highest standards of care, leaving a lasting impact on the patient and her family.
