ApolloMD physicians are compensated based on the patients they treat and the procedures they perform. In addition to the volume based component of compensation, patient satisfaction and objective measures of quality can also be part of the compensation structure. This model, which rewards efficient productivity, serves to minimize downtime and improve both job satisfaction among physicians, as well as increase patient satisfaction.
Recruiting and Retention
ApolloMD seeks to provide the highest quality physicians. We work to provide a core group of physicians at each facility that we serve who are either Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology. Attracted by top compensation and a high quality of life, ApolloMD physicians are recruited from leading training programs and hospitals throughout the country.
Effective Leadership
Physician leadership is one of the most crucial elements of a successful physician group. Decisions made by a medical director affect the well-being of patients, employees, and medical staff. In order to provide the best possible leadership at any given facility, ApolloMD takes a collaborative approach with the facility.
In 2005, ApolloMD established The ApolloMD Leadership Academy, a two year program tailored to equip physician leaders with the knowledge of clinical and operational best practices to most effectively serve our facilities, physicians, and patients. The Academy is a collaborative effort with top tier academic institutions that incorporate benchmarking, metrics and practical real-world expertise to improve hospital performance. In addition, we work with groups such as ASA and the Baptist Leadership Institute to refine our internal organization practices via the learning from peer institutions nationwide.
“Best Practice” Clinical Pathways
In keeping with a personalization approach to Anesthesia Services, ApolloMD works with each facility that we serve to establish “Best Practice” clinical pathways. Combining both established clinical benchmarks and creating Best Practices unique to a facility’s needs and wants, ApolloMD develops programs such as Acute Pain Programs, GI, Total Join and OB in order to enhance
physician quality and bolster patient satisfaction.
