Welcome New Emergency Medicine Fellows, Dr. Amna Jamshad & Dr. Tianyi “Tom” Li

We are excited to welcome two new fellows to the ApolloMD Emergency Medicine Administrative Fellowship Program. Dr. Amna Jamshad and Dr. Tianyi “Tom” Li began their two-year journey with us this July, joining a program for early-career emergency medicine physicians who want to build on their clinical expertise while developing strong leadership, operational, and administrative skills. In addition to enrolling in an Executive MBA or similar advanced degree program, fellows gain hands-on experience working closely with ApolloMD’s clinical and corporate teams, contributing to strategic initiatives, exploring the healthcare system at a deeper level, and preparing for impactful leadership roles in emergency medicine.

Dr. Amna Jamshad

Dr. Jamshad, originally from Marietta, Ga., completed her medical education at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Suwanee, Ga., and recently finished her emergency medicine residency at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, N.Y. Her passion for healthcare administration began during a Health Policy rotation in medical school, where she saw firsthand the importance of representative leadership in driving better patient outcomes. Throughout residency, she focused on systems-based approaches that enhance efficiency and care quality.

Returning to her home state to train with ApolloMD, Dr. Jamshad looks forward to meeting and collaborating with like-minded leaders who are equally committed to improving the healthcare landscape. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and trying new restaurants with friends and family.

Dr. Tianyi “Tom” Li

Dr. Li is originally from China and was raised in Louisiana. He earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and completed his residency at Wellstar Kennestone in Marietta, Ga. His interest in healthcare operations emerged during residency as he witnessed how many moving parts must align to deliver high-quality, timely care. That curiosity led him to pursue the ApolloMD fellowship to gain hands-on experience in administrative leadership and deepen his understanding of the healthcare business.

Through the fellowship, Dr. Li looks forward to exploring areas such as emergency department operations, healthcare technology, and contract negotiations. Outside of work, he enjoys staying active through pickleball and basketball and exploring new restaurants with friends.

“On behalf of everyone at ApolloMD, I’m excited to welcome our 2025–2027 Emergency Medicine Administrative Fellows to the program. Each year, this fellowship brings together exceptional physicians who are passionate about leadership, innovation, and advancing emergency medicine. We look forward to supporting our new fellows as they grow into future leaders in clinical and administrative excellence.”
